Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters Unveils New Stills

Three years after the release of Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, the titular demigod played by Logan Lerman is heading back to cinemas this summer, and he's bringing along a lot of friends - some old and some new.

With 2013 already starting to fly by - can you believe that it's almost April already? - USA Todayhas premiered five brand spanking new first look photos at the anticipated August release,Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, directed by Thor Freudenthal. The first photo, seen above, shows Percy reuniting with Annabeth (played by the returning Alexandra Daddario), the daughter of Athena, but that's only the tip of the iceberg.

Providing some comic relief in the sequel, Stanley Tucci will be playing the role of Dionysus in the new movie, who Greek myth enthusiasts will remember as the god of wine, ritual madness, and basically everything good-time related. Check him out below sporting a wicked goatee, some crazy hair, and a loud leopard print shirt.

Next up we have more of an ensemble shot. In addition to Percy and Annabeth, this shot features from left to right Tyson the Cyclops (franchise newcomer Douglas Smith); daughter of Ares, Clarisse La Rue, (the also new Leven Rambin); and Grover the satyr (once again portrayed by Brandon T. Jackson).

While these photos do show off a good number of the new castmembers, there are still plenty that need to be revealed, including Nathan Fillion as Hermes (he's stepping in for Dylan Neal);Missi Pyle, Yvette Nicole Brown and Mary Birdsong as The FatesAnthony Head as Chiron (replacing Pierce Brosnan); and Daniel Cudmore as Manticore. Seeing as the film won't actually be out until August, however, there's still plenty of time.

Colossus and Blink will join sequel's growing mutant cast

"X-Men, Days of Future Past" has added yet more mutants, both old and new.

First, Daniel Cudmore ("The Twilight Saga") will reprise his role as the metallic Russian bodybuilder Colossus, as seen in 2003's "X-Men 2" and 2006's "X-Men: The Last Stand," according to Comic Book Resources.
Meanwhile, Singer Tweeted that Chinese actress Fan Bingbing has cast as Blink, a fan favorite mutant with the ability to teleport.
She recently starred in Chinese box office hits "Double Exposure" and "Lost In Thailand." She'll soon be seen in the remake of "The Bride With White Hair." Bingbing is also in talks to star in the next chapter of the "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" saga, according to Deadline.

"Future Past" deals with multiple timelines, allowing the return of such franchise veterans as James McAvoyPatrick Stewart (both playing Professor X), Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, the two Magnetos (Michael Fassbener and Ian McKellen), Anna Paquin (Rogue), Halle Berry (Storm), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Ellen Page (Kitty Pride), and more. Newcomers include Peter Dinklage and Omar Sy.

Singer's tweet included a photo of a wall of cast headshots, and the caption, "3 #Oscars, 6 #GoldenGlobes, 1 #BAFTA, 2 #Emmys, 2 #Tonys, 5 #Oliviers, 1 #Ceaser - Now let's blow s**t up! #XMEN" That's quite a cast.

As CBR points out, there are a few blank space on the wall, meaning that casting isn't quite yet finished. Cyclops? Jean Grey? Someone new? Who would you like to see added to the cast?

"X-Men, Days of Future Past" is set to open July 18, 2014.

BRYAN SINGER REVEALS THREE MORE ‘X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST’ CAST ADDITIONS including @danielcudmore

Bryan Singer has just tweeted an image which features a collage of the cast members of the highly-anticipated X-Men: Days Of Future Past. Included among these pictures are the recently added Peter Dinklage and Omar Sy (who have their roles covered up) as well as three new additions to the cast. Among these three new additions is actor Daniel Cudmore who will be reprising the role of Colossus in the film.

L-R: Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), James McAvoy (Charles Xavier), Michael Fassbender (Erik Lensherr), Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Peter Dinklage (Unknown Villain), Halle Berry (Storm), Ellen Page (Shadowcat), Shawn Ashmore (Bobby Drake), Omar Sy (Unknown role), Anna Paquin (Rogue), Fan Bing Bing (Blink), Booboo Stewart (Unknown role), Daniel Cudmore (Colossus)

Also joining the cast is actress Fan Bingbing as the teleporting mutant Clarice Ferguson, better known as Blink, and actor Booboo Stewart, who may be best known from his appearances in theTwilight series, in a currently unknown role. There’s definitely a chance Stewart could be playing the role of Sunspot, who was originally set to appear in X-Men: First Class, and be the rumored character that Singer would be using the motion capture tech for. We also see some empty gaps on the wall. Who else does Singer have up his sleeve? We’re still hoping that one of them is James Marsden, being that Singer said he was going to “correct a few things”. With production on the film set to begin next month, we should be learning the full cast of the film very soon.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past is set to hit theaters July 18th, 2014.
